1967 Tonka, No. 406 Dump Truck in Original Box
Awesome example of Tonka's classic pressed steel No. 406 Dump Truck (1962-67). Near mint condition and most likely never played with. Comes complete with original box. Features all pressed steel construction, enclosed wrap-around plastic windshields, manual rear dump lever, manual spreader (side) lever, rear tandem wheels, swinging tail gate, swinging side gate, plastic headlights, and Tonka name embossed on front grille. Tires are black vinyl with white Tonka lettered sidewalls and raised metal star hubs. Driver and passenger doors have both original decals. The blue, black and white printed box shows an illustration of the dump truck doing its thing while a hard hat guy looks on. The 406 catalog number and Tonka name were printed on every panel. One set of endflaps is hinged to open, the other folds together as a seal (and haven't been opened). There is no "look-book". Size: 13½" Sold: Jul. 2011
